The RPLRP project was implemented in 3 Countries-Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. In Uganda, the Project Development Objective was to enhance livelihoods resilience of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in drought prone areas through regional approaches. The aim was to mitigate the impact of droughts at the districts, national and regional levels by introducing regional interventions in complement to existing national initiatives. This will increase resilience of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities from the 12 project districts. The project had four components: i) Natural resources management, ii) Market access and trade, iii) livelihood support and iv) Pastoral risk management.
JBN in 2013 was contracted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries prepared the Environment and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and the Indigenous Peoples Policy Framework for the project
